CockroachDB

Connect a CockroachDB cluster to Lakehousecat using a connection URI.

Connection Fields

FieldRequiredDescription
Connection URIYesFull connection string. Example: cockroachdb://user@host:26257/database (passwordless for insecure clusters) or cockroachdb://user:password@host:26257/database?sslmode=verify-full
Use SSHNoEnable if the cluster is behind an SSH bastion host. See SSH Tunneling.

Prerequisites

  • Admin or Builder role in Lakehousecat
  • A CockroachDB user with SELECT access to the target database
  • Default port: 26257
  • For secure clusters: TLS certificate or sslmode=verify-full in the URI

Notes

  • CockroachDB is PostgreSQL wire-compatible — use the cockroachdb:// URI scheme in Lakehousecat.
  • Insecure clusters (development only) do not require a password; omit the password field from the URI.
  • Incremental Load is supported; use a timestamp column (e.g., updated_at) as the merge key.

Next Steps

After creating the datasource, go to the Operations tab to trigger semantic extraction.
