Object Storage

Lakehousecat can connect directly to individual CSV or Parquet files hosted in S3-compatible object storage. This is useful for data that lives in a bucket rather than a database or data lake table.

Supported Platforms

Platform	Notes
Amazon S3	Native AWS S3
SeaweedFS	S3-compatible self-hosted storage
Other S3-compatible	Any storage with an S3-compatible API

Connection Requirements

• A full URL to the specific file (e.g. https://bucketname.s3.region.amazonaws.com/path/file.csv)
• Access Key ID and Secret Access Key for authentication
• File format specification (CSV or PARQUET)
