Google Analytics
Connect a Google Analytics 4 property to Lakehousecat to analyze web traffic and user behavior data alongside your other data sources.
Connection Fields
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Google Account | Yes | Authenticate with your Google account via OAuth. Lakehousecat requests read-only access to your Analytics data. |
| Property ID | Yes | The GA4 property ID. Found in the Google Analytics UI under Admin → Property Settings. Format: numeric ID (e.g., 123456789). |
Prerequisites
- Admin or Builder role in Lakehousecat
- A Google account with Viewer access (or higher) to the target GA4 property
- A Google Analytics 4 property (GA3/Universal Analytics is not supported)
Notes
- Lakehousecat loads standard GA4 report dimensions and metrics as tabular data. The available tables reflect the GA4 Data API report structure.
- Incremental Load is supported — subsequent loads fetch only the data for new or updated date ranges.
- Historical data availability depends on your GA4 property's data retention settings (default: 14 months).
- Sampled data: for high-traffic properties, Google Analytics may return sampled results. This is a GA4 API limitation.
Next Steps
After creating the datasource, go to the Operations tab to trigger semantic extraction.
