Audit Log
The Audit Log tab shows a chronological history of all configuration changes made to this data source. Use it to track who changed what and when.
What Is Logged
| Event | Description |
|---|---|
| Data source created | Initial creation of the data source |
| Connection settings updated | Changes to the connection URI or SSH configuration |
| Name or description updated | Edits to the display name or description |
| Filters changed | Schema, table, or column filter updates |
| Status flags changed | Enabled or locked flag toggled |
| Parameters changed | Model override settings updated |
| Semantic extraction triggered | A manual or scheduled extraction job was started |
| Document uploaded or removed | Documents attached to or removed from the data source |
Columns
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Timestamp | Date and time the action was recorded |
| User | The user who performed the action |
| Action | The type of change |
| Details | Additional context about the change (e.g., old and new value) |
Use Cases
- Troubleshooting: Identify when a filter or connection change was made that may have caused a query regression.
- Compliance: Demonstrate that sensitive data source configurations are managed and audited.
- Change management: Review recent changes before re-running semantic extraction.
Notes
- The audit log is read-only. Entries cannot be edited or deleted.
- Access to the audit log requires Admin or Builder role.
