QuestDB
Connect a QuestDB time-series database to Lakehousecat using a connection URI.
Connection Fields
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Connection URI | Yes | Full connection string using the PostgreSQL wire port. Example: questdb://admin:quest@host:8812/qdb |
| Use SSH | No | Enable if the database is behind an SSH bastion host. See SSH Tunneling. |
Prerequisites
- Admin or Builder role in Lakehousecat
- Access to the QuestDB PostgreSQL wire port (default: 8812)
- Default credentials: user
admin, passwordquest(change in production)
Notes
- QuestDB exposes a PostgreSQL-compatible wire protocol on port 8812 — use the
questdb://URI scheme in Lakehousecat. - QuestDB is an append-only time-series database. Updated or deleted rows from the source are not reflected in subsequent incremental loads.
- Incremental Load is supported for append-only use cases; new rows are loaded on each run using a time cursor.
- If automatic merge key detection fails (QuestDB does not expose primary key metadata), set the merge key manually in the Incremental settings tab.
Next Steps
After creating the datasource, go to the Operations tab to trigger semantic extraction.
