Materialize

Connect a Materialize streaming database to Lakehousecat using a connection URI.

Connection Fields

FieldRequiredDescription
Connection URIYesFull connection string using the PostgreSQL wire port. Example: materialize://user:password@host:6875/database
Use SSHNoEnable if the database is behind an SSH bastion host. See SSH Tunneling.

Prerequisites

  • Admin or Builder role in Lakehousecat
  • Access to the Materialize SQL port (default: 6875)
  • A Materialize user with SELECT access to the target views or tables

Notes

  • Materialize exposes a PostgreSQL-compatible wire protocol — use the materialize:// URI scheme in Lakehousecat.
  • Materialize is designed for real-time streaming views. Lakehousecat reads the current materialized state of each view or table.
  • Incremental Load is supported; use a timestamp column as the merge key.

Next Steps

After creating the datasource, go to the Operations tab to trigger semantic extraction.
