Cloud Services

Lakehousecat connects to cloud-based data services and SaaS platforms via API authentication. Unlike database connections, these sources use OAuth or API key authentication and do not require a server address or connection URI.

Supported Cloud Services

ServiceAuthenticationDescription
Google SheetsOAuth 2.0Spreadsheets from Google Sheets as a tabular data source
Google AnalyticsOAuth 2.0Web analytics data from Google Analytics 4
Hugging FaceAPI KeyDatasets from the Hugging Face Hub

How Authentication Works

Cloud services authenticate differently from databases:

  • Google Sheets and Google Analytics use OAuth 2.0. When creating the datasource, you will be redirected to a Google login page to grant Lakehousecat read access to your data.
  • Hugging Face uses a personal access token (API key) from your Hugging Face account settings.

No server credentials, host addresses, or connection URIs are required for these source types.

Next Steps
