Google Sheets
Connect a Google Sheets spreadsheet to Lakehousecat as a tabular data source. Each sheet tab becomes a table in the semantic layer.
Testing status
Google Sheets integration is available in the UI. End-to-end testing is in progress.
Connection Fields
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Google Account | Yes | Authenticate with your Google account via OAuth. Lakehousecat requests read-only access to your Google Sheets. |
| Spreadsheet ID | Yes | The ID of the Google Sheets document. Found in the spreadsheet URL: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/**SPREADSHEET_ID**/edit |
Prerequisites
- Admin or Builder role in Lakehousecat
- A Google account with access to the target spreadsheet
- The spreadsheet must have a header row — the first row of each sheet is used as the column names
Notes
- Each sheet tab (worksheet) in the spreadsheet is exposed as a separate table.
- Only sheets with a header row in row 1 are supported. Empty sheets are skipped.
- Full Load only — Incremental Load is not supported for Google Sheets. Each data load reads the full current state of the spreadsheet.
- Changes made to the spreadsheet are reflected the next time a Full Load is triggered from the Operations tab.
- Column headers must be unique within each sheet.
Next Steps
After creating the datasource, go to the Operations tab to trigger semantic extraction.
