Prompts
Prompts are saved text templates that can be quickly inserted into the chat input using a slash command shortcut. Instead of typing the same complex query repeatedly, you save it once as a prompt and invoke it with /command-name whenever needed. Prompts can also be shared with other users or groups.
Prerequisites
Prompts are available to all users. No special role is required to create or use them.
Navigating to Prompts
- Open the workspace.
- In the left sidebar, click Prompts.
The Prompts page shows all prompts you own, organized in three sections:
| Section | Description |
|---|---|
| My Prompts | Prompts you have created |
| Shared by Me | Prompts you have shared with others |
| Shared with Me | Prompts others have shared with you |
Creating a Prompt
- On the Prompts page, click the + (Plus) button.
- Fill in the form fields.
Fields
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Title | Yes | A descriptive name for the prompt, e.g., Monthly Revenue Summary |
| Command | Yes | The slash command used to invoke the prompt in chat. Auto-generated from the title (e.g., monthly-revenue-summary). Only alphanumeric characters and hyphens are allowed. |
| Content | Yes | The prompt text that will be inserted into the chat input when the command is used. |
The Command field is automatically populated based on the title. You can edit it manually if needed. The command must be unique within your workspace.
Using Voice Input for Content
Click the microphone icon next to the Content field to record the prompt text using voice input. The spoken text is automatically transcribed and can be optimized before being applied.
Save
Click Create to save the prompt. It is immediately available in the chat interface.
Using a Prompt in Chat
In any chat conversation, type / in the input field. A suggestion list appears showing your available prompts. Continue typing to filter by command name. Select a prompt to insert its full content into the chat input field.
You can then review or modify the inserted text before sending.

- Select Share.
- In the sharing dialog, select the users or groups to share with.

- Click More (⋯) on the shared prompt.
- Select Unshare.
Best Practices
- Keep commands short and memorable: Commands like
/revenue,/churn, or/top-customersare faster to type than long slugs. - Use descriptive titles: The title appears in the autocomplete list when typing
/— a clear title helps you find the right prompt quickly. - Share team standards: Create prompts for common analytical questions and share them with relevant groups so everyone uses consistent phrasing.
- Version with clone: If you need a modified version of an existing prompt, clone it first so the original is preserved.
