Analytics

The Analytics section in Lakehousecat is the central place to view, manage, and share the charts and dashboards generated through conversations with Custom Models. Every analytical question asked in the chat can produce a chart, which can then be organized into dashboards and shared with other users.

The Analytics workspace is organized into seven tabs:

TabDescription
GeneralOverview statistics for all your analytics content
My DashboardsDashboards you have created
Shared by MeDashboards you have shared with others
Shared with MeDashboards others have shared with you
My ChartsCharts you have created
Shared by MeCharts you have shared with others
Shared with MeCharts others have shared with you

General Tab

The General tab provides a live statistical overview of your analytics content:

Summary Cards

  • Total Dashboards — total number of dashboards, including how many were updated in the last 7 days
  • Total Charts — total number of charts, including how many were updated in the last 7 days
  • Published Dashboards — number of published dashboards vs. private ones
  • Custom Models — number of Custom Models available for analytics

Detailed Statistics

When charts or dashboards exist, the General tab also shows:

  • Top Chart Types — a breakdown of the most frequently used chart types with a visual progress bar
  • Usage by Model — which Custom Models have the most associated charts and dashboards
  • Timeline Information — oldest and newest dashboard and chart dates
  • Chart Status — breakdown of charts by status: Published, Draft, Archived

How Charts and Dashboards Are Created

Charts and dashboards are not created manually in the Analytics section. They are generated as the result of conversations with a Custom Model in the chat. When the model produces an analytical result, a chart is automatically created and made available in the My Charts tab.

Dashboards group multiple charts together and are created separately. For step-by-step guides see:

Sharing

Sharing applies to both charts and dashboards and is consistent across all shareable objects in Lakehousecat. For details on how sharing works, see the Sharing Guide.
