Databend
Connect a Databend database to Lakehousecat using a connection URI. Databend is a cloud-native data warehouse built on Apache OpenDAL with a focus on large-scale analytics.
Connection Fields
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Connection URI | Yes | Full connection string including credentials, host, port, and database name. Example: databend://user:password@host:8000/mydb |
| Use SSH | No | Enable if the database is behind an SSH bastion host. When enabled, SSH settings fields appear. See SSH Tunneling. |
Prerequisites
- Admin or Builder role in Lakehousecat
- A Databend user with
SELECTaccess to the databases and tables you want to expose - Network connectivity from the Lakehousecat backend to the Databend HTTP handler (direct or via SSH)
- Databend HTTP handler default port: 8000
Notes
- Databend uses its native HTTP dialect (
databend://) for DLT loading — MySQL-wire (port 3307) is used only for schema discovery. - The connection URI scheme
databend://is handled by thedatabend-sqlalchemydialect. - Incremental Load is supported with manual merge key settings; use a timestamp column (e.g.,
updated_at) as the incremental column. - Databend is optimized for cloud object-storage backends (S3, Azure Blob, GCS).
Next Steps
After creating the datasource, go to the Operations tab to trigger semantic extraction.
