Azure
Integrating Azure with Lakehousecat enables advanced AI functionalities such as Chat Embedding, Text-to-Speech, and Speech-to-Text. This section will guide administrators in configuring Azure as a provider within Lakehousecat.
Prerequisites
Ensure you have the following before starting the configuration process:
- Access to Lakehousecat as an administrator
- Active Azure subscription with access to OpenAI resources
- Azure Endpoint URL
- Azure API Key
- Deployment-ID aligning with your chosen Azure Model
Step-by-Step Guide
-
Navigate to the Workspace
- Begin by accessing your Lakehousecat workspace where models are managed.
-
Go to the Models Section
- From the workspace, navigate to the 'Models' menu to enter the model configuration interface.
-
Select "Provider Models"
- In the Models section, look for and select "Provider Models" to proceed with the provider setup.
-
Choose Azure as the Provider Type
- In the dropdown menu or combobox, select 'Azure' as the Provider Type.
-
Choose Model Type
- You may choose among several options such as Chat Embedding, Text-to-Speech, and Speech-to-Text. For this example, we will proceed with 'Chat'.
Step 3: Configure the Azure Provider
- Configuration Name: Assign a clear and descriptive name to your configuration. Naming conventions should enhance identification.
- Azure Endpoint URL: Input the Azure Endpoint URL, e.g.,
https://resourcename.openai.azure.com/. Ensure accuracy to enable successful connections. - Azure Region: Specify the Azure Region, such as 'Sweden Central'. This should match your resource region in Azure.
- Azure API Key: Provide your Azure API Key used for authentication. This can be found in your Azure Portal.
- API Version: Enter the API Version relevant to your models, available in the Microsoft Azure documentation.
- Deployment ID: Ensure that the Deployment ID corresponds with your Azure Model ID.
Step 4: Save and Validate the Configuration
- After providing all necessary details, click the Save button.
- Lakehousecat will initiate validation of the configuration parameters. Ensure all inputs are correct to avoid validation errors.
- Upon successful validation, your Azure configuration will be active and ready for utilization.
Best Practices
- Consistent Naming: Apply a consistent naming strategy to ease management and identification across multiple configurations.
- Documentation Review: Regularly consult Microsoft Azure documentation to stay updated on API changes and best practices.
Troubleshooting
Should you encounter challenges during the setup:
- Validation Errors: Verify the accuracy of the Endpoint URL, API Key, and Deployment ID.
- Access Issues: Confirm that your Azure role permissions allow interactions with OpenAI resources.
By following these instructions, administrators can effectively establish Azure as a powerful AI provider within the Lakehousecat platform.
