Integrating Anthropic models with Lakehousecat enhances your data projects with advanced AI capabilities. This document provides detailed instructions on configuring Anthropic as a model provider within Lakehousecat.
Prerequisites
Before configuration, ensure you have:
- Access to Lakehousecat as an admin
- API Key obtained from Anthropic
- Understanding of Anthropic model types and requirements
Step-by-Step Configuration Guide

Log in and Navigate to the Workspace
- Log in to Lakehousecat as an administrator and navigate to your workspace.

Access the 'Provider Models' Section
- Within the workspace, select the 'Models' area and proceed to the 'Provider Models' section.

Click the Plus Icon
- In the 'Provider Models' section, locate and click the Plus (+) icon to add a new provider.

Select "Anthropic" Provider Type
- From the list of available providers, choose "Anthropic" to proceed with the configuration.

Configure the Anthropic Model
- Configuration Name: Enter a descriptive name following your organization's naming conventions.
- API Key: Provide the API Key as obtained from the Anthropic documentation. This is essential for authenticating requests.
- Model ID: Specify the Model ID as outlined in the Anthropic documentation. This ensures the correct model type, such as 'Chat', is selected.
Step 6: Save and Validate Configuration

- Once validation is successful, you may register the configuration and, if desired, set it as the default model for Lakehousecat.
